Pasangkayu, manakarrapos.com – In its ongoing commitment to community welfare, PT Pasangkayu organized a training and mentoring session for Posyandu cadres, accompanied by the distribution of the Integrated Community Nutrition Program (PMT) aid and incentives for the cadres.
The event, held at the Gunungsari Village Hall on Friday (22/3/2024), aimed at enhancing public health, particularly in combating stunting. This initiative underscores PT Pasangkayu’s commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program through four pillars: health, education, economy, and environment.
The Head of Gunung Sari Village, I Nyoman Sukariawan, expressed gratitude to PT Pasangkayu for their collaboration and continuous support. “May this program continue to thrive and further fortify the health of the Gunung Sari community,” Nyoman hoped.
Gunung Sari Village was chosen for this activity as it currently stands as one of the areas of focus for PT Pasangkayu in its efforts to enhance community well-being, especially in the villages surrounding its operational area.
Apart from providing assistance such as PMT and incentives to Posyandu cadres, the event also involved training and awareness sessions on health, including the technical aspects of Posyandu operations such as filling out Healthy Cards (KMS), immunizations, and techniques for measuring and weighing infants.
Tri Anggoro, the Head of Pasangkayu 2 Community Health Center, added, “We are grateful for PT Pasangkayu’s support in health programs, particularly in developing Posyandu cadres. Preventing stunting is a shared priority to enhance the quality of future generations,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Asriana, one of the Posyandu cadres, expressed gratitude for the assistance and training provided by PT Pasangkayu. She hoped that this program would continue to benefit the community and improve the quality of health services at Posyandu.
The event was attended by the Head of Gunung Sari Village and its officials, the Head of Pasangkayu 2 Community Health Center and its staff, and 28 Posyandu cadres from 14 different Posyandu. Representing the company were PT Pasangkayu’s Administrator (ADM), Head of Administration, PT Pasangkayu’s Polibun Doctor, and several CSR teams.
Gunawan, PT Pasangkayu’s ADM, stated that this initiative demonstrates PT Pasangkayu’s concern for the community, particularly Posyandu cadres in our company’s area. “This health CSR program isn’t just about aid; it’s about preventing stunting and enhancing the community’s quality of life,” Gunawan emphasized.
Through this initiative, PT Pasangkayu aims to continue making a positive contribution to society, especially in preventing stunting and improving quality of life by strengthening Posyandu as the forefront in community health services. (Egi Sugianto)
